If you can't find what you are looking for, create a new idea:

  1. stick to one feature enhancement per idea

  2. add as much detail as possible, including use-case, examples & screenshots (put anything confidential in Hidden details field or a private comment)

  3. Explain business impact and timeline of project being affected

Improve usability of CodeBlock creation in GUI Tool flow

When writing a CodeBlock in the Tool flow through the GUI, it is difficult to know the correct syntax. For example, a declaration such as 

@tool(name="")

 is required, but this is not obvious to users.

It would be very helpful to display sample code snippets in gray as placeholders, or to provide a reference URL directly in the interface. This would improve usability and reduce errors when creating CodeBlocks.

    Code Blocks in agentic workflows are intended to be used to manipulate data and perform business logic within the flow. This should not be confused with python tools that you can create using the ADK. The product documentation provides examples where code blocks can be used to perform calculations, data transformations and convert between different data types.

    The code block editor also provides access to all the available functions and variables using code completion by clicking <CTRL><SPACE> as shown in the image below.
