Media Misinformation Containment for Released Document Sets

Build a rapid-response capability for agencies releasing controversial document sets: a machine-readable production index, canonical document identifiers, and an official "verified reading room" API so that when an old, more-redacted version of a document goes viral (as happened with the 2022 Epstein document), fact-checkers and platforms can resolve claims against the authoritative current version in seconds. watsonx Orchestrate tracks provenance of every item, timestamps superseding versions, and exposes a claim-checking endpoint: paste a screenshot's text fragment, get the authoritative passage and its redaction status. This does not censor viral content — it arms the information ecosystem with ground truth fast enough to compete with virality, reducing the damage window during which an outdated redaction version shapes public perception.
