Bankrupt-installer consumer alert agent

Problem: Vision Solar filed Chapter 7 in December 2023 carrying $100–500 million in debt and 60+ legal actions, leaving customers with half-finished installations and orphaned warranties; Connecticut later settled with the company's largest lender for borrower relief. Customers learned about the collapse from the news, after it was too late to protect themselves. Idea: A watsonx Orchestrate consumer-protection agent that monitors bankruptcy filings, license suspensions, and enforcement actions against home-services companies, matches them against a consumer's registered contractors, and pushes plain-language alerts — what happened, what it means for your contract and warranty, and what remedies exist — the day the filing hits the docket. Value: Homeowners get actionable notice while remedies still exist instead of discovering their installer is gone when the roof leaks.
