Need APIs for watsonx Assistant custom extension - create and configure

Current option: Currently creating and configuring custom extensions is done from the IBM Cloud watsonx Assistant UI:

  • Step 1- Integrations>Extensions> "Build custom extension" (provide name, description, upload a OpenAPI json file etc.)

  • Step 2- "Add/Open" and configure the authentication, API key etc. used by the extension during runtime.

What we need:

We need APIs for the above steps to enable script based automation for the deployment of watsonx Assistant artifacts (custom extension) used by an application.

Hey team, this isn't something we are prioritizing. We did deliver pro-code skills which include a way to register a skill into the Assistant. That can be set up with an API to some degree: https://cloud.ibm.com/apidocs/assistant-v2#createprovider

Thank you for your feedback, amy you clarify what you mean by "enable script based automation"? Can you provide examples of scenarios to illustrate the need?
