Call Generative AI from a watsonx Orchestrate Automation Workflow

Currently, it is possible to call a decision component or another workflow component from a wxO workflow. However, it is not possible to call a generative AI component from a workflow.

We would like to be able to:

  • prepare multiple email templates (different business cases)

  • combine a logic for a selection of an email template with genAI templates within the same automation

For example, we could prepare the creation of selling offer emails within a single automation for 3 classes of customers: silver, gold, and platinum. Input in the workflow logic could be the name and class of our customer. The workflow could select which genAI component to use for a proper email template and use it to generate an email appropriate for a class of a customer.
